VINBOT M30 General Meeting

The partners developing the VINBOT project met last 27-29 of July in Logroño, Spain,during the VINBOT M30 General Meeting. This time, the event focused on presenting to all attendees the final version of the VINBOT robot (live demo included) as well as on training partner SMEs and partner winegrowers in the configuration and use of the system through a hands-on session.  A room session was also held as usual to assess the progress of the work, plan the activities for the next months and discuss different aspects of the project. VINBOT development team is now conducting field tests in vineyards in Portugal and Spain with the aim of validating the technology and its benefits against the competing alternatives

M24 General Meeting in Barcelona

Consortium members met at Ateknea’s facilities (Cornellà de llobregat, Barcelona) the 2nd and 3rd of February 2016 to hold the M24 General Meeting. During this event a training session was performed to show the SMEs a first working prototype of the whole Vinbot system, including an integrated version of the robotic platform with the sensor head, a computing cloud able to analyze the data provided by the robot and a web interface able to present this data.

M21 Technical Meeting held in Lisbon.

On the 13th and 14th October, the consortium research centers met in Lisbon for their second biannual technical meeting. The key points addressed at these meetings are:

  • Presentation of the RTDs technical progress, including demos of the modules developed by each RTD.
  • Evaluation of the work conducted so far (in line with the workplan established)
  • Define technical tasks for the coming months in order to achieve the project objectives within budget and timing.
  • Raise technical questions and problems, and propose viable solutions.

At the Lisbon meeting, Ateknea presented a workflow proposal for the VINBOT platform functioning. From the integration of images taken by the robot to the presentation of results through a web-interface. Having accepted the proposed workflow, VINBOT scientists discussed how the VINBOT modules should interact in order to obtain the expected results to show to the end-user.

Successful VINBOT demonstration session carried out.

Demonstration VINBOT project took place las Thursday 16th at ISA facilities in Lisbon. The demonstration, carried out by the Spanish company ROBOTNIK allowed to show to the general public the autonomous functioning of VINBOT.

Before this demonstration, João Encarnação representative of the project coordinator ATEKNEA SOLUTIONS CATALONIA, and Carlos Lopes from Instituto Superior de Agronomia gave a press conference where project progress was shared.

Demostration session next 16th July, 2015 in Lisbon

Next 15th July 2015, the VINBOT developers will meet in Lisbon (Portugal) to summarise the new advances achieved during the past months and explain the following steps. They will also deal about the commercialization of the technology.

On the next day, on the 16th July, taking advantage of the facilities of Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA), a demonstration session will be organised. The VINBOT precision viticulture robot will navigate autonomously along the vineyards of ISA. It will start at 10:00am (Lisbon local hour) and it is open to any interested person and free of charge. VINBOT at FENAVIN trade fair

VINBOT will be represented by the Association BODEGAS FAMILIARES DE RIOJA (PROVIR) at the next FENAVIN wine trade fair held in Ciudad Real (Spain) May 12-14, 2015.

FENAVIN in just seven years has become the Spanish wine industry’s most important global trade fair. During the 2013 edition, 1,214 vineyards from all over Spain attended the event.

VINBOT will be represented  in pavilion 7 Ganimedes, aisle 19 stand 2. Come to visit us and get more information from our autonomous robot able to determine the yield of vineyards!

 

 

 

 

Positive balance of the presence of VINBOT at BTA2015 trade

VINBOT was showcased at BTA 2015 from April 21st to 24th in Barcelona. The fair included an international exhibition of machinery and technology for the food and drinks industry and the food and beverage trade in general where the VINBOT robot was presented.

After a technical meeting held in ATEKNEA premises in Cornellà de Llobregat (Barcelona, Spain) to discuss the recent progress and future technical tasks, members of ATEKNEA, ISA and RBK visited the fair with the robot.

VINBOT will be showcased at Barcelona Food Technologies (BTA) 2015 trade fair

The 2015 edition of BTA has become a key date in the agendas of food  and drink manufacturers, importers and exporters, engineering firms, and the retail trade who will attend the 3-day event to exhibit and discover the latest technology in the food sector.

 

The BTA will run from 21-24 April 2015 at Fira Barcelona in the Catalan capital and was last held in 2012, attracting over 35,000 food industry visitors from 85 countries. Doors open for trade and the general public on Tuesday-Thursday 9.30am-6.30pm and Friday 9.30am-4.30pm.

 

VINBOT will be at Stand E-151, Pavilion 5! See you there!
